1. Book your accommodation before coming here – hotels, motels, lodge, bed and breakfast are always full during the Stampede week. (take advantage of the online deals)
2. Prior to watching the parade – come early! Streets fill up really and take the C-train instead of driving because parking downtown is very hard. 3. During the parade – bring a folding chair, apply sun screen, bring an umbrella or wear a hat for comfortable view.
4. Be ALERT! - Protect your belongings. 5. Always bring bottled water and refreshments to avoid heat stroke. 6.
