1. Book your accommodation before coming here – hotels, motels, lodge, bed and breakfast are always full during the Stampede week. (take advantage of the online deals)

2. Prior to watching the parade – come early! Streets fill up really fast and take the C-train instead of driving because parking downtown is very hard.

3. During the parade – bring a folding chair, apply sun screen, bring an umbrella or wear a hat for comfortable view.

4. Be ALERT! - Protect your belongings.

5. Always bring bottled water and refreshments to avoid heat stroke.

6. Use the C-Train whenever heading to the Calgary Stampede Grounds – its cheap and a time saver.

7. Bring extra batteries for your camera – precious moments can happen anytime at the Calgary Stampede.

8. Carry a First Aid Kit - minor injury can occur, however, there are also medical staffs available everywhere.
