Calgary's Skywalk System

There’s no doubt that Calgary is one of the fastest growing cites in the world. You don’t have to look anywhere else but to the downtown core. Calgary is the home of numerous major and small oil and gas companies that cater to local and international markets. One of the amazing thing about Calgary’s downtown is the +15 Skywalk System. Calgary’s Skywalk is the largest in the world. What is a Skywalk System? A Skywalk links most major office complexes, hotels, attractions, and public buildings in the downtown core with climate controlled bridges. So whether it snows, rains, hails, cold, warm, windy, thunderstorm, you are guaranteed to be protected from these elements. It is also use as a shortcut method to go to different establishments and C-Train stations without the hassle of going through stop lights and traffic. The skywalk is very effective especially during winter times, you can keep warm while the temperature outside is very cold.

Exploring downtown Calgary is very easy, thanks to Calgary’s skywalk. Using the skywalk, you can stroll along the downtown core where you can end up in shopping centers, a museum, finest restaurants, live theater, bars, clubs, a gallery, the Chinatown, libraries and many more. Numerous attractions such as the Calgary Tower, Devonian Garden, Glenbow Museum, City Hall, Telus Convention Center, Banker Hall, TD Square, Scotia Center, Jack Singer Hall and Calgary Eaton Center are all part of the skywalk.
