Means of getting to Calgary


If you are from US & Mexico, you can either drive or fly to get here. Outside these countries, the fastest way to get here is by plane.

Getting to Calgary - by Plane

Calgary has a international airport, the Calgary International Airport. Most international flights that come and go to the Calgary Airport are from US, Mexico and the Caribbean. If you are not flying from one these countries, you might be arriving to one of these busy Canadian airports. From there on, you can get a connecting flight or easily book a flight to Calgary.

3. Trudeu Airport International (YUL) – In Montreal, Quebec, Canada is the third busiest airport in Canada. It provides airline services to Asia, Africa, Caribbean, Central and South America, Europe, Mexico and the United States.

The Calgary Airport

To Downtown Calgary: The Calgary Airport is about 20 kilometers (15-20 minutes) from the downtown-core.

Car Rental : Alamo, Budget, Avis, Hertz, National and Thrifty are all represented at the airport and can be found in the Rental Car Centre opposite the main terminal building of the Calgary Airport. Off-airport car rental companies, like Discount provide courtesy shuttle service to their rental locations.

Transit to the city and other area: There are bus services running from the Calgary Airport to the city centre and other Alberta destinations (Banff or Lake Louise). If you are heading to the mountains, bus services are available at the departure area while the Calgary Transit provides public bus service (Bus no.57) to and from the airport.

Taxi: Airport taxis are conveniently available outside the Calgary Airport Arrival Area.
