Unlike other fast food store, they make their own patties from scratch. Most of their ingredients being used for making patties are fresh daily – to add they don’t use “frozen” patties! This is why the taste and quality of their meal stands out among the rest. Foods are always hot when served. Hot, crisp fries and onion rings make the perfect addition for a great meal. How about the price? A hot dog is $3.00 and additional .30 cents for extra cheese. Fries small size $3 and large size $6. Onion rings will cost you a whopping $4. A milk shake will cost you $4.50(large) and there are a variety of flavours to choose from. Delicious sundae and banana spit which cost no more than $6.00.It’s a very reasonable price! Of course a great Alberta steak is accompanied with a glass of wine – choose among their wide selection of fine wine. They offer seafood, chicken, lamb and pork for lunch and dinner. If you are a vegetarian, this place is not for you. The price is pretty reasonable with they quality of entrees they serve. An entree goes from $22.00 to $52.00. The service is really good and the restaurant is family friendly. Sushi in CalgaryI love sushi! At first, I found it really distasteful and sworn not to try it again. Perhaps it was not that fresh anymore the first time I tried it. However, thanks to my wife by inviting me to go to the right place. My interest was revived, and from that day forward sushi became one of my favorite delicacy. Hours: Location: $$ - $20 - $30 Love Japanese food but on the Go?!$ - $20 less Banzai is a good place for a quick take-out Japanese foods. They serve rice bowls, noodles, and sushi. A bento tray is a combination of rice, teriyaki (chicken or beef), sushi or tempura with miso soup and salad on the side. It is a popular selection because of its cheap price and tasty meal. I find the service very friendly and prompt. However place is not ideal for a romantic date. The size of the restaurant is small while setting is pretty normal. The price of a bento combination will cost you no more than $10.00. There are two convenient locations in Calgary south and downtown. It is home for one of the largest and delicious restaurant in Calgary, the Regency Palace.
Location: $$ - $20 - $30 Try their Hot-Pot (fresh meat, seafood and vegetables submerged into a boiling beef broth) which is offered only seasonal (from mid Sept – early May). They will set a special table arrangement, a pot of boiling beef broth in the middle and you can choose from their 48 fresh items according to your liking. Ask about their different kinds of sauce available to enhance the taste of your food. Not in the mood for waiting and cooking your own food? a dinner buffet close by is available for your enjoyment. If the buffet, dim-sum or hot-pot does not appeal to you, ask your server for a menu to see ALaCarte and Chef Specials. Welcoming lions, a good luck fountain and luxurious oriental and western touch with intricate decorations will greet you when you enter Regency Palace. I love the way it was set up!

Soup in CalgaryWhy soup? Well it is a great equalizer for cold Calgary weather. Tasty soup belongs to the Vietnamese, they are famous for best beef noodle soup in the world. I had my first taste of Vietnamese beef noodle soup when I was 20 years old and the rest is history. The main ingredients of the soup consists of rice noodles, beef broth, thin slices of beef, onions, bean spouts, cilantro and spices. Choose from their different add-ons to boost the taste of your soup.Try also their barbecue lemon grass chicken and pork. Either fried or steam rice they form a great meal. Finally, don’t forget to try a Vietnamese sub. This sandwich is fresh, delicious and unique. In Calgary, there are two places I normally go for a nice warm Vietnamese beef noodle soup, Golden Bell Saigon and Bolsa Vietnamese Restaurant.
