Awesome Calgary Golf Courses! Are you a big golf fan? Then you’re in for a treat! There are numerous golf courses here in Calgary to satisfy your need to play golf. Each golf course offers fantastic scenery, different degree of difficulties, friendly staffs, and amenities for you to have a wonderful game of golf. So no matter who you are, there's a golf course here in Calgary to suit your ability whether you are an experienced player or a beginner.

The City of Calgary (City of Calgary Recreation) has 6 golf courses conveniently located throughout the City. My personal favourites are McCall Lake and Shaganappi Point. In Shaganappi Point, you have an excellent view of down town Calgary. McCall has beautiful man-made lake as its signature landmark. It is also the first golf course I played in Calgary. The only bad thing about McCall is that it is near the Calgary Airport so expect to see huge air planes from time to time. However it’s still a great place to play golf especially if you are a beginner. Their 9-hole is the best fit for novice golfer.

Other City of Calgary Golf Courses are, Confederation Park, Lakeview, Richmond Greenand Mapleridge a very challenging course, great for pro! The City of Calgary Recreation offers the most affordable golf game in Calgary with Green Fees for 9 Holes ranging from $15 - $25 while Green Fees for 18 Holes $40 - $50.

There are also privately operated course throughout Calgary. One of them is McKenzie Meadows (17215 McKenzie Meadows Drive Calgary, AB T2Z 2T9, Canada Phone: 257-2255), where our church held our annual golf tournament to raise money for mission trip. The course was very challenging and a lot of fun. I recommend this place to everyone very nice indeed.
